Located in
Kosciuszko National Park, The Currango
Homestead was once a high country grazing operation, but is now open for tourists to visit and stay overnight in the rustic eco-accommodation.
Access from the west is seasonal, being closed from June to October long weekends. Take
Long Plain Track which is accessed from the south via the
Snowy Mountains Hwy between
Kiandra and Yarangobilly and from the north via Brindabella Rd, Burnetts Rd and Broken Cart Fire Trail. From
Long Plain Track take the Port Phillip Fire Trail.
The water level in the
Tantangara Reservoir needs to be less than 25% or 1216m at the causeway over Mosquito Ck, or the crossing may be closed, just 3 km short of the
homestead.

Snowy Mountains Hwy then Tantangara Rd, past the
dam onto Pockets Saddle Rd and Port Phillip Fire Trail - all 2WD gravel, though the website says 4WD in wet weather.
