Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is a spectacular hills garden located over 100 hectares on the eastern slopes of
Mount Lofty. In this cool, temperate garden you can discover plants from South America, China, East Africa, New Zealand, South East Asia and North America, as
well as the native flora that dominated the
Mount Lofty Ranges prior to
European settlement.
Highlights include the prehistoric Wollemi Pine dating back to the time of dinosaurs, breathtaking displays of camellias and rhododendrons, the ATCO
Heritage Rose Garden, gorgeous autumn colour, signature artworks and sculpture scattered throughout the garden, and sweeping
views over Piccadilly Valley.
Take a journey through the garden on one of the many walking trails and lose yourself in the beauty and serenity of nature. You can even walk a part of the iconic
Heysen Trail with one of the trail’s oldest sections passing through
Mount Lofty Botanic Garden.
