Information

Outstanding coastal scenery, massive sand dunes, rugged pinnacles and remote camping opportunities are highlights of a visit to Byfield National Park and Byfield Conservation Park. Byfield NP is just an hour north east of Rockhampton with several bush campsites.

Drive through the forest and then lower your tyre pressures and try climbing the dunes. Don't even bother unless they're at 15psi - the sand is dry and it's steep. Visit Five Rocks Beach and Stockyard Point then try some other sandy tracks.

The traditional owners are the Darumbal people.
