Information
The station receives and distributes power generated by Murray 1 and Murray 2 Power Stations. Most of this goes to Victoria. As required surplus power can flow from Vic and be sent to the Lower Tumut Switching Station to connect with NSW. The reverse flow can also apply. Thus the purpose of the electricity side of the Snowy Hydroelectric Scheme can be fulfilled.
