Impressive peak visible from its namesake
lookout on the Alpine Way 25 km to the north. Waters sourced from the southern and western flanks of The Pilot form the Upper Indi River which becomes the Murray. Access is closest from the Victorian side of the border via the Cowombat Track with a 14 km return walk from a
locked gate.
