The 'Edge of the World' is the name the locals have given Gardiner Point because from here - the ocean extends all the way to Argentina. But the name has been adopted by the tourism industry so that recognition of he name is common.
The area is reached by a turn towards the ocean south of the
Arthur River bridge. It includes a
parking area,
toilet and a raised viewing platform.
Views include the ocean, accumulated drift wood, the mouth of the river and the town area to the north of the
bridge.
