This
camp area is located near the mouth of the
Nelson River in the Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area. Suitable only for fully independent travellers and campers with no facilities. Fees apply. Dogs on lead ok. Suitable for tents, campervans, motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers, roof top tents etc.
You will notice private
shacks to the left of
the entrance area with a sign clearly marked "No Camping Beyond this Point" - but camping is permitted on the right of this where there is a grassed
camping area. It is left of the road close to
the beach and a further smaller section to the right of the gravel road. The
Nelson Bay campsite faces west toward the Southern Ocean.
