"Cannonball" is a grazing property owned by the family of Walter Warry, who operated a business form the now famous
heritage building on Clarke Street,
Hill End known as Northeys Store. He conducted a mixed business form the building from around 1925, supplying the town with fruit, vegetables, small goods, cakes etc. He also operated a motor truck service between
Hill End and
Bathurst carrying goods for his
shop as
well as chaff, grain and other items for individual customers. The family eventually closed the business at Northeys Store and retired to Cannonball.
