Hey All

just planning my next bike adventure (after going round Australia in 2014 and then criss crossing QLD in July 2015)...Strezlecki, Oodnadatta, Uluru, Plenty hwy, Birdsville, Hungerford, Bourke.

Being on a motorbike i'm worried about fuel locations, mainly between the following locations:

1) Bourke to Wanaaring to Camerons Corner
2) Camerons Corner to Lyndhurst (SA) (Strezlecki Track)
3) Oodnadatta Track (i know fuel at Oodnadatta, Marla and Maree) but does William Creek have fuel?
4) Plenty hwy (NT) between Alice Springs and Boulia...I remember seeing JERVOIS had fuel-is that still the case? and Tobermorey Station?
5) Fuel between Boulia and Birdsville
6) Fuel Between Birdsville and Quilpie
7) Fuel at Hungerford?
8) fuel between Hungerford and Bourke?

Im going to carry some fuel bladders but depending on how much i carry will affect how much anything else i can carry

Any advice would be appreciated

Muz

4) Plenty hwy (NT) between Alice Springs and Boulia: Both Jervois and Tobermorey have fuel. The campsite at Tobermorey is very nice (green grass no dust)
5) Between Boulia and Birdsville:- Fuel in Boulia, Bedourie and Birdsville

Don't won't to be thought of as a PIA but if you put this posts title into a Google search.... Your question would be answered.
Have great trip.

Hi Tony,

i did put this enquiry into Google and got nothing, did searches by fuel companies (Shell, BP, Caltex) and sorted a lot of places out, however couldnt find anything for the places/routes i listed..

Never a PIA....

Hi Muzman

Between Cameron Corner and Lyndhurst on the Strezlecki track there are no fuel stops and at Lyndhurst the road house closed down (April 2015), I was able to load diesel at the pub but don't remember seeing ULP nor anything else.

Good luck.

Rob.

1) Bourke to Wanaaring to Camerons Corner
- include Tibboburra in that
2) Camerons Corner to Lyndhurst (SA) (Strezlecki Track)
- as others have said - nada - can't comment on Lyndhurt - last time I was thru (a few years ago) - it had fuel
3) Oodnadatta Track (i know fuel at Oodnadatta, Marla and Maree) but does William Creek have fuel?
- Yes
4) Plenty hwy (NT) between Alice Springs and Boulia...I remember seeing JERVOIS had fuel-is that still the case? and Tobermorey Station?
- others have answered - last time I was at Tobermory it was b4 it closed down for a period
5) Fuel between Boulia and Birdsville
- Bedourie
6) Fuel Between Birdsville and Quilpie
- Windorah ???
7) Fuel at Hungerford?
- Yep
8) fuel between Hungerford and Bourke?
- only if you go via Wanaaring - was thru Ford's Bridge last year - pretty small place - can't remember seeing any fuel outlet

If you have an Android phone get the FUEL MAP app from the store and install it.
It works with your GPS and will tell you where the nearest fuel is from your current position. It can also be used to plan ahead before commencing a trip. It also shows current fuel prices at most servo's provided by user feedback. Hope this helps.

You are absolutely correct TonyV it is a supplement to Wiki Camps. I should have mentioned it earlier. One of the features that I like most is the fuel price which is updated by users to allow you to choose which servo without touring all over.
