This
cave was named after an Aboriginal hand stencil that resembled a kookaburra.
The rock art here consists of mainly of engravings, with a small number of stencils. Engravings were made in the soft
Sandstone using a stone or bone implement.
Access is via an undulating 850m walking track from the main vehicle track.
A short flight of
rock steps and wooden stairs gains you access to a purpose built platform for viewing the art.
