This
junction is the northern-most part of the main Mt Moffatt Circuit Drive. From this
junction a 4WD track to the north is called the High Country Drive. The High Country Drive is an out and back excursion of 32km return through the Consuelo Tableland and you should allow 2 days driving time. The route allows you to follow the footsteps of Australia's last known bushrangers, the Kenniff Brothers. Along the route you'll find a national park
campsite at the
Rotary Shelter Shed Camping Area, and points of interest at the
Top Shelter Shed with
views over the cliffs of Buckland Tablelands, and eventually ends at the
Head of Carnarvon Creek where you'll need to turn back. The Kenniff Drive side trip is an 8km return track that leads to Incineration Site and Lethbridges Pocket.
The main Mt Moffatt Circuit Drive continues south of this
junction and just 2km away is the turn off to the
West Branch camping area and a further 7km to the
Park Information Centre.
