Baffle Creek is one of Queensland’s few remaining undisturbed coastal rivers, and the creek’s estuary mouth is protected by Mouth of Baffle Creek Conservation Park.
This small coastal remnant features sandy beaches backed by low, open, eucalypt and she-oak
woodlands with a
camping area set behind the fore dunes on the creek’s northern shore. (ie. southern end of Rules Beach).
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed.
Bush camping overlooking estuary and Sandy Beach. No facilities.
Accessible only by boat or high clearance 4WD. Vehicles must enter
beach access at the end of Rules Beach Rd - then drive 1km south along
the beach. Sites are best for tents/swags/campers alongside your vehicle - campsites are sandy. Campfires are prohibited, bring your own water. No generators. No
bins provided.
