Peaceful Bay is a small fishing community located on a bay of the same name. The town features fishermens'
shacks, a jetty to assist with beach boat launching/retrieval, Sea Rescue, a caravan park of the same name, a local store, park, and an RSL monument. The Bibbulmun Track passes through here along the coastline.
Numerous other beaches can be accessed nearby by 4WD but be warned the sand is very soft. Nearby Irwin Inlet is a nice area lined by paperbark trees. Only small tinnies or kayaks could venture on this waterway.
During the peak Christmas school holiday period,
Peaceful Bay is thriving with family tourists staying in the caravan park.
