The King Billy Track is a tight, twisting track of varying conditions, most of them difficult. Within a kilometres of Lovick’s, the fun begins as you are thrown into a steep ascent of two kilometres to reach the first highpoint of the track. Here on a spur, impressive
views are had across the valley to the north with the Mt Buller Alpine Village clearly visible 13 kilometres to the North West. This eyrie also provides a
good camp spot under some low trees several hundred metres west along the ridge. For those willing to risk the breezes the
views on a starry summer night would be spectacular.
