That's the only thing I had listed to do, & Yarrongabilly caves/springs. Do any of the
long plain tracks go through to yass way or
canberra.

Yep.
Long Plain Road becomes Broken Cart Trail. That follows up through Dubbo flat (this bit can be difficult) or you can bypass around that area. These then come out onto Brindabella Road (Tumut to
Canberra).
I had heard that Broken Cart Trail was actually closed at present and not sure about whether it has reopened or not.
A phone call to Nat Parks or Forestry at Tumut should tell you.
