Just a few km below the source, the Snowy is crossed here by the first of 9 bridges. The snow here can be in 6 metre drifts in August, but by November the snow is melting and large slushy icefields still cover the road. Only a km from Seamans Hut on the often busy road to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko.
