Lightning Ridge - Current conditions

Good evening,
We are hopefully off to Lightning Ridge this coming Saturday.
My English SIL has travelled over here for a couple of weeks and has requested a trip to the Ridge.
Thats no skin off my nose as I love the place.
I was wondering what the conditions are like up that way at the moment in regards to how all the water is or is not affecting the area.
Travelling up from Sydney, via Dunedoo.
Thanks in advance,
William

William,

Bottom left of the ExploreOz page is a National Road Conditions map, chose by state.

eg.. Outback NSW click here

This should be tha first place you look as it tends to be more up to date than the state web sites.

Failing that..

Each state has an "RTA" that publish road conditions etc.

For NSW click here and click on "Western"

But in the end, you can't beet calling the local Pub, Post Office, Council, Police or caravan park and you will get the latest on roads.

From what I could see .... No issues out that way.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for that info.
I can get to the Ridge, have checked the Walget shire road reports.
I was more interested in making sure that we could tour around out there and that all the attractions and sites are open.
I have tried to contact people out there but because of the long weekend have recieved no replies as yet.
If there is limited things to do out that way I will go to Lake Mungo via Hay.

I have found before especially when organising a trip to Brewarrina last year that the EO road reports for that section of the state are not accurate or available.
I think that area doesnt fall into a defined area, being on the cusp of the outback and central areas.

Cheers
William
