The Lake Quilpie (West Side) - QLD

Set up your self-contained camp on one of our even-ground, unpowered sites. Relax and enjoy the tranquility in your shady campsite. Throw in a line, bring your own kayak, swim or ride your pushbike around beautiful Lake Houdraman. The birdlife is amazing around the lake.

Enjoy access to our shared camp kitchen, BBQ and laundry facilities. Meet other campers at our communal bar in the evenings or gather around the campfire. Option to access our amenities block for hot showers and flushing toilets.

Tap for you to fill your water tanks for unpowered campers. You are welcome to use a small generator between 8am and 9pm. Please be considerate of other campers.

Please keep in mind that The Lake is on private property which is a working sheep, goat & cattle property. Please treat this beautiful area with respect and do not drive elsewhere on the property. Open fires are permitted but only when the weather permits. If there is a fire ban, obviously no fires are allowed. The road is suitable for caravans, camper trailers, busses, 4WD & 2WD vehicles. If the road is wet, it is not suitable to 2WD vehicles. There is telstra mobile phone service (no other carriers will work) and television reception here. EFTPOS available. Dogs are welcome at this campsite, but please be responsible and pick up after them and keep them on a lead at all times!

Campers must be able to contain their own grey water when camping at The Lake. You cannot discharge over the ground!
