Cavendish Recreation Reserve - VIC

There are 8 power outlets available for camping from 4 locations around the top camping area. Each twin location has a maximum of 20 amps available using 15 amp outlets. Circuit Breakers are located in the camp kitchen. Water outlets are available at 3 locations in the top camping area to fill your Vans. The towns water pressure is not sufficient to use these points as a fixed connection to your caravan. There is a central picnic area which has an electric BBQ, water and 4 power outlets that are available for all campers to use. Please clean up after use. Please Note; The power outlets are not to be used as site outlets. You must contact the Caretaker on arrival as most sites are pre booked. Check out is by 12pm on day of departure and check in time is between 12pm and last light. Please do not set up until your site is allocated by the Caretaker. The Caretaker will collect your camping fees on arrival. If the Caretaker is unavailable please send a detailed text and you will be contacted as soon as possible. Thank you. Camping Fees TOP CAMPING AREA POWERED SITES ONLY: $30.00 Per night, Per Van or Tent (Maximum 3 Adults per site) RIVER CAMPING $20.00 Per night Per Van or Tent NON-POWERED SITES ONLY: (Maximum 3 Adults per site) Extra persons charged at $ 5.00 per person per night. Children 12 years & under free.Unpowered Camping is avaitable along the Wannon River (over cattle grid at rear of top campground & turn right). 'Pit' toilets are not permitted anywhere within the camping grounds (Top or River Campground). Portable Toilets cannot be emptied anywhere within the campground or local area. Nearest dump point is located in Hamilton. Strictly NO FIRES outside of designated fireplaces and only between 1st April and 1st November. On declared high fire danger days only electric lighting and cook tops are to be used outside. Campsites must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Outside appliances such as washing machines, clothes dryers and fridge/freezers are not permitted. See Caretaker for more details. Generators may be operated within the river camping area and only between sunrise and sunset. They are not to be used in the top camping area at anytime. Please do not move your location without prior approval from the Caretaker as specific area's or sites may be pre booked.
