An attractive, popular
camp by the tranquil Wimmera River, shaded by River Red Gums and Black Box, with scattered Tea-tree and banksia scrub understory. Situated in a large U bend, sites are spread along the circuit road with a grassed
billabong depression in the centre and day areas on the river banks.
Each site has a fireplace, most have a table and rubbish bin. Sites are in close proximity to each other and, as this is a popular local
swimming hole, could be crowded at peak periods.
Firewood is limited. Water tanks are marked "not for drinking".
The river height is maintained by a weir, features a small swimming beach and faces sandy bluffs and the Whail
State Forest. The limited grass is mown daily by wallabies and inspected regularly by emus.
