Camp Area. An old timber-mill site in the flat hung valley of the Mackenzie River, above
Mackenzie Falls.
Good shade provided by pines and Stringybark, surrounded by a Stringybark forest with a thick understory of tea tree. Can be popular, sharing of the 6 fireplaces may be necessary.
Smiths Mill
Campground features fire pits with barbecue plates, picnic tables, non-flush
toilets, bush shower, and a water tank/tap (not for drinking, seasonal water level).
Campfires are only allowed in designated fireplaces, please bring your own fire wood.
There are no rubbish collection facilities at this
campground - please take all rubbish with you.
Smiths Mill
Campground offers 28 tent campsites with adjacent vehicle
parking, and 5 drive-in sites for camper trailers, caravans, campervans and larger tents.
All sites are unpowered. Maximum of six people per site. All campsites need to be booked in advance.
