Black River
Campground is one of two camping areas located within the Peggs Beach Conservation Area and camping fees apply, cash only, make sure you have gold coins as cost is $13 per night per couple. Campfires permitted but not to be lit on the ground (byo fire pit and wood), dogs & generators permitted (under conditions). Black River
campground has pit
toilets and a hybrid
toilet. Self registration. Tank water (should be boiled first). No rubbish
bins.
Black River
campground is very popular with locals and spots are at a premium the summer holiday season. Secluded sites among trees are next to the Black River estuary. Lots of birdlife and popular fishing location with 4WD boat-launching areas at both camping sites (Peggs Beach end or beside the estuary).
