Katu Katu
Well is a
native well approximately 2 km north of the base of
Mount Madley. The
rockhole itself is a steep sided hole of 1.2 metres depth and approximately 1 metre in width. It contained a goodly amount of clear water. There is nothing in the surrounding countryside to mark the location making the
water hole somewhat difficult to locate. The hole sits in a area of cleared hard surfaced
sandstone between two ribbons of Mulga. There are car tracks leading towards the location but where they fade away, you must turn to the east and travel for around 300 metres keeping your eyes peeled.
