Information

Situated in an elevated position on the northern side of the Rudall River (Karlamilyi), the cairn and plaque was erected by the members of the W.A Police Canning Expedition in September, 1994. The plaque outlines the rich indigenous history on the area as well as European exploration of the river and area when explored by the Government Surveyor, Rudall in 1897. Both Traditional aboriginal and European names for the River and other local features are explained.
