In the goldrush days of
Cue, Milly Soak used to be an important source of water with it being carted back to town and sold. Later it became a popular picnic retreat for the miners in the old days, going up there on foot or bicycle - a distance of 10
miles. There was also a hospital
camp here during a typhoid outbreak and if you take your time when you visit, you'll pick up the small walking track that leads out to some lonely
graves of those that didn't make it.The soak is located on
Nallan Station and can be visited and enjoyed for the day. As you enter the area off the highway, you will see signs warning that camping is prohibited.
