The Gwalia
mine is one of Australia’s oldest underground gold mines, with St Barbara having operated this flagship asset for the past 15 years.
The
mine, operated by St Barbara Limited, is Australia's deepest underground gold
mine and the deepest trucking
mine in the world, with a proposed depth of 2,300 metres by 2031.
Visitors can watch the trucks and activity from the
lookout at the front of the
Gwalia Museum carpark.
