Mount Mee is part of the D'Aguilar Range and adjoins
Brisbane Forest Park. It is a rewarding place to visit, with many rocky waterholes, cool streams and rainforest walks. The
Somerset trail offers magnificent
views over Lake
Somerset and Lake Wivenhoe. From the Falls
lookout you can see the picturesque Neurum Valley. At The Gantry
picnic area you can see the remains of an old sawmill which operated until 1981.
Mount Mee is about 60km north-west of
Brisbane. From
Brisbane, travel through Samford and Dayboro then follow Mount Mee and Sellin roads to the forest. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended for accessing all areas of the park past The Gantry.
From the north, turn off the D'Aguilar Highway at D'Aguilar south of
Woodford, then follow Rassmussen Road to the forest. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended to access the park past Archer
campground.
