The cape is roughly midway between Quobba and
Red Bluff. Salt is trucked in from the evaporation ponds at nearby Lake Macleod and stockpiled using
conveyor belts. More conveyors move the salt to a wharf which provides mooring for bulk carriers, but this is all off limits to the public. A short, steep and sandy track leads to the base of the
cliff and the rusty remains of the wreck of the Korean Star. A
turtle or two may be seen from the clifftops.
