Red Bluff is renowned for some of the best surfing around and provides a great secluded getaway except for those windy months November – March. There's a small
shop at Quobba Station to provide the essentials but you would do
well to be self sufficient. Great fishing, and
sharks dominate the area but they don’t seem to worry the surfers! Access to the area is via
Carnarvon, north to the blow holes where the bitumen ends and then north again via a limestone/gravel road that passes by
Cape Cuvier, where the Vessel ‘Korean Starr’ was washed up on the rocks a few years back but is now rusted away. Condition of the access road depends on the weather and how recently it was graded! Cliffs and
views similar to the Great Oz Bite are easily accessible by 4x4 along the way to
Red Bluff.
