Located on the
Burrup Peninsula just north of
Dampier. Good for a swim, but
check tides before going out. You need to be a couple of hours either side of high tide. Can be exposed to an easterly wind, in which case go back and look at the petroglyphs about 2 km back - track on left.
Nearby is the big Woodside NW Shelf gas hub, and a number of industrial enterprises that relate to the gas. Also close is the renowned
Burrup Peninsula rock art site where vast numbers of petroglyphs have been chipped into the
red rock.
