If you read "I can jump puddles" by Alan Marshall then a visit to Noorat is a must. Many of the places in his book which were unnamed are easily visited and information boards as well as The Alan Marshall Historical Precinct are worth a look. Also Noorat is home to some of the finest examples of dry stone walls in Australia.
