Burke and Wills camped here on 9/1/1861. They arrived here at 1pm and Burke was eager to move on. However the rest of the party decided it was best to stop. There was plenty of water and grass for the Camels and horse. It was also very humid and so it was agreed they would stop and rest. There are a number of signs and plaques in
