Burke and Wills camped here on 24/10/1860. They also walked to the
Mutawintji Gorge. Although there was a permanent
water hole there the area they selected for this
camp also had tall grass for the camels and horses. Today this area is a National Park but there is no signage recognizing Burke and Wills.
