Information

Bedourie means Dust Storm and the sculpture across tall timber poles represents rolling dust storms and whirling winds across the country, along which the Spirits travelled. The sculpture in the main street stands on Wangkamardla Country.

Sculptures of the Dreamtime. The artwork first originated from the idea of having public art created to connect the towns of Bedourie, Birdsville and Betoota. The other art works are in Birdsville (Meeting Place) andBetoota (Dreamtime Serpent).
