This 4WD
creek crossing marks the beginning of the 4WD only section for the ascent of
Mount Meharry. Do not proceed unless you are a competent 4WDriver and have a vehicle with low range gearing. Consider
parking your vehicle and then hiking to
the summit. Take plenty of water and a PLB in case of emergency. The 4WD track is rough and continually gets rougher towards the top but is driveable all the way to
the summit with care and use of low range gears.
