Discovery Lagoon Caravan and Camping Grounds - SA

Camping and caravan park run entirely on Renewable Energy. An eco-friendly way, maximising each person's experience with as little impact on the environment as possible.

Modern amenity block, lockable power boxes for charging mobiles, laptops etc, fully stocked camp kitchen, laundry, large camping sites to suit your needs.

The camp ground is set in four acres of bushland, set beside a lagoon. Weather permitting, the lagoon fills in Winter but will dry out in Summer. Caravan sites all have clean water access but no power. Tent sites are spacious and flat without water. Generators are allowed between the hours of 8am and 8pm. The nearest dump point is located approximately 15 minutes away at Brownlow. Comfort fires are permitted and several fire pits available. Camp site is dog friendly at manager's discretion with one dog per site.

Rustic eco-friendly cabins are also offered with a fully stocked camp kitchen for shared use by cabin residents. An outdoor area with table and chairs and a small herb garden, is for use for cabin residents to enjoy in seclusion from the rest of the camp site. No dogs permitted. Minimum stay two nights.

Native wildlife are regular visitors to the site - wallabies, echidnas and sometimes a rare albino echida.

The site is central to Kangaroo Island tourist attractions including wineries, breweries, fishing charters and dolphin tours to name a few. The Island is known for abundant wildlife, wildflowers, fantastic local produce and seafood and the best natural attractions each season.
