Shelter Bay is located in South Passage. Small boats can be launched from
the beach, or anchored in close to shore, directly in front of some campsites only. Sixteen campsites are scattered along the stretch of white sandy beach facing
Shelter Bay either on or in dunes behind
the beach.
Campsite sizes vary. All campsites are unpowered and must be booked in advance online. There are
toilets, these are non-flush pit
toilets. No
bins. No campfires at any time. Dogs are not permitted. Generator use is permitted at all campsites between 8am-9pm only. High clearance 4WD required. The best time to
camp at
Shelter Bay is from April to October when winds are lighter and the sea calmer.No dogsSee separate listing for each
