Bruce Rock. Located on the main street of
Ardath. This hotel has been restored as a tavern with restaurant and counter meals available. The main bar features original furniture. The restaurant is in the restored dining room. Some of the photo history of

The
Ardath Hotel was the third hotel within the
Bruce Rock District (
Bruce Rock & Kwolyin Hotels were both State hotel in 1914). During the 1930's it was very popular with travellers as it was more 'upmarket' than others in the area.
During World War II, the location of an ammunition depot, with 250 personnel in close proximity to
Ardath, made the years of 1943, 44 and 45 very busy, as
well as the post war years of 1946.
These days,
Ardath is a very quiet place but the pub is still operating and running meals, accommodation, a has a great venue for a private party in its quirky beergarden. The hotel starred in a television commercial for Swan Draught beer.
