Mungarannie Campground - SA

This campground is operated by the Mungerannie Hotel.It offers open as well as shaded sites, toilets and showers, plus food, fuel, cold beer and tyre repairs available at the hotel. Anywhere along the tree line can be found secluded, shady areas suitable for all styles of camping. It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs and campers in tents. BYO firewood. Dogs permitted. Campers are welcome to spend time exploring the wetlands, where hot artesian water outflow has created an oasis in the desert that brings prolific birdlife. Over the years, the hotel has offered hot artesian baths/pool but access to this varies according to current conditions. New owners in 2023 have revamped the place and if you've been here previously, you'll find some upgrades and improvements yet retaining the original sense of it and still good food and outback hospitality that people rave about.
