Information

Albany Pass (or Albany Passage) is a narrow channel of water that separates Albany Island from the mainland Cape York Peninsula directly opposite the settlement of Somerset. This is close to the tip of Cape York. This is a picturesque spot with clear blue waters and white sands. However looks can be deceiving - be aware of strong tides and shallow water each side. This is an interesting passage for navigation by boat craft.
