Budjiti Country. Shady area beside waterholes along the Paroo River, where you can go swimming, fishing, canoeing, birdwatching and bushwalking. Open areas without separately defined sites. Bookings on-line. $7.00 per person per night, or $28.00 per family per night. $3.85 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved educational excursions.
Approximately 41.5km north east of the
ranger station. The
camping area can be reached by 4WD vehicle, off-road camper trailers, off-road caravans and small off-road motorhomes and buses in dry weather only. There are no facilities.
Open fires allowed (except when fire bans apply) but fuel stoves recommended. Generators not allowed.
Bring
drinking water—at least seven litres of water per person, per day for drinking, cooking and washing. Local water is NOT suitable for drinking. Bring rubbish bags, and take all recyclables and rubbish with you when you leave.
Bins are not provided. Bring your own untreated, clean mill off-cuts for firewood, or preferably bring a fuel or gas stove for cooking.
It is advisable to contact the Department of Transport and Main Roads or phone 13 19 40 for road conditions and the Bureau of Meteorology for weather conditions one week prior to travelling.
