Doone Falls is situated on Doone Creek, a tannin stained creek flowing through to Bass Strait on the southern side of the Rocky Cape National Park. Doone Falls has a discoloured brownish look to it, and is quite distinct from other Tasmanian waterfalls due to the amount of foam/froth that accumulates at the base of the waterfall. After heavy rains, the base of falls has a bubble bath look about it.To reach the falls, you will need to hike along a grade 3 trail of 8km return taking about 2.5hrs to complete (start from Sisters Beach).
