The Poplars is approx 10kms from Noojee. It is a good place to hide from the much bigger and more popular
Toorongo Falls 10kms to the other side of Noojee. The campsites are approx 30-40metres from the generally quiet roadside. The other side of the
campsite is bordered by a shallow, clean creek. There is a large stand of poplars fully fenced with a small septic
toilet between the campsites and the road. There are approx 20 camsites in a large arc bordered by the poplars and the creek and shaded by large gums. The
campsite is accessible by 2WD even in the wet as there is very little gravel road to get there. The creek is good for the kids to splash in (3y+) but supervise because the undergrowth can be thick and we share the bush with reptiles. Expect to meet
grey nomads, families and trail bike riders and the ever vigilant CFA in times of total fire ban. Noojee is close by and has milkbar/
general store with petrol, cafe, CFA and a couple of watering holes, good for wet campers to escape to.
The Poplars is subject to seasonal and maintenance closures.
