silo art and the small town of
Wirrabara.
Painted by Australian artist Sam
Bates (Smug), the silos were painted over a 3 week period and was completed on 24th October 2018.
Nicole Pilmore, resident of
Wirrabara, initiated the project by setting up a Go Fund Me project and the District Council of Mt Remarkable administrated the project, starting with surveying the community for suggestions on who to do the painting and what should be painting on the silos.
