Swim Beach is a public picnic ground and a part of the
Kununurra Dam system located a few kilometres west of the township right before the
Ord River Bridge on Victoria Highway.
Dogs are allowed on leash and the water is cool and deep. With a rope to swing off lots of shade it is an ideal spot for a picnic and a catch up.
You can also launch your boat or PWC at the
boat ramp located at Swim Beach. Just be sure to avoid the
dam wall due to a strong current and definitely do not cross the wall to the other side as that is where you will find the saltwater crocodiles.
