A fitting memorial to one of the areas admired characters, with superb
views on the Arden Hills 4X4 Track. The drive is for experienced four wheel drivers with a low range due to the steep accents and decents, with large and deep washaways.
Stretch began his working life as a school teacher, and ended up as an opal miner. Stretch was so touched by the beauty of these hills,that when he was stricken with cancer, one of his last requests was to have his ashes spread near this monument.
