These
ruins are the remains of an old shepherds hut that was built in the mid 1880's and al that remains is the stacked slate formation of the
chimney. These huts housed boundary riders who not only shepherded sheep, but kept fences in good order. The shepherds lived a solitary life with little contact with the outside world as they had no communications.
