Established in 1883 when
Marree was the railhead of the Central Australian Railway this magnificent
heritage listed building is regarded as one of Australia's top 10 iconic outback hotels. The
Marree Hotel is in superb condition and maintains the original 12 hotel rooms, but to cater for demand has recently added 42 motel style ensuite cabins.
New owners Phil & Maz Turner purchased the hotel business in late 2011 and have made your visit to
Marree Hotel a very different and more enjoyable pub than it has ever been. Enjoy great food, modern hospitality, cold beer on tap and enjoy the hotel
pool.
Open every day from 8am - late (bar opens at 11am).
Meals available daily from 12-2pm and dinner menu from 6-8pm.
Happy hour every Friday night - 8pm.
There is a designated caravan park in
Marree but the hotel does have a large area to
camp – free of charge. It is designed to provide campers who wish to access the hotel’s
services with a place to stay that is close to the pub.
There’s hot showers and
toilets available (gold coin donation). No need to book and it's first in best dressed. No powered sites and the use of generators is not permitted. Bring your own
drinking water or purchase 10ltr casks from the hotel.
