Draper's
Gorge cuts deep into the range revealing
rock pools, native fig trees and
views as you ascend the escarpment and perhaps on to the top of the range.
Draper's
Gorge Trail is a 2km return moderate walk requiring fitness. The track is very rocky and there is plenty of loose rubble. You have to climb up into
the gorge and walk along
rock ledges. Waterfalls and
rock pools are evident along
the gorge and would be spectacular after heavy rains.
The gorge is usually dry and may not even be accessible after rains due to road conditions and closure.
The gorge is very scenic with its unique
rock formations. The suggested time to allow is 2 hours, however depending on fitness, temperature and how often you stop the time can be more than halved.Walk trails require scrambling up slopes and along
rock ledges.
