Information

The Officer Basin covers an area of over 100,000km2 within the states of Western and South Australia. In the South Australian section alone over 56 Mineral & Petroleum Wells have been drilled and one of these was Murnaroo No 1. The well was spudded on the 2nd November 1976 and completed on the 7th December 1976, with a total well depth reached of 226.7 metres.
